BEYOND ACADEMICS

Although a rigorous academic programme is at the core of everything we do at NPS, an equally outstanding co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are also a part of the curriculum. NPS offers a host of activities enabling in spotting out, promoting, strengthening and polishing the hidden potentialities. Coaching is provided in many Sports throughout the year. To promote healthy camaraderie and team spirit in sports,
games and allied activities and to instil in the hearts of each student a spirit of competition and sportsmanship, the school has be en divided into four houses:

The names of the houses are derived from the most popular peaks of Mt. Kanchendzonga. Competitions such as Elocution, Spelling Competition, Debates, Essay Writing, Quiz Contests, Inter-house sports competitions are conducted every year at regular intervals. At the end of every academic year, the points scored are calculated and the students are awarded certificates, prizes and medals.
